This list is not all inclusive, but here are a few suggestions:

• Activate Good is Raleigh's local volunteer promoting organizations.  They match volunteers with cause needs and promote good works through educational classes, events, and even volunteer social networking.  Visit their website for some ideas.  All opportunities are not in the creative vein.  However, there is a group within the site focused on Creatives for Cause: www.activategood.org
• The Cary Creative Center is now open to the public.  If you are interested in volunteering, donating, or becoming involved, they welcome the extra help!  More information is available on their website: www.carycreativecenter.com.
• Artsplosure! is in May annually.  The Artsplosure organization also puts on Raleigh First Night annually on New Year's Eve.  For more information on how to get involved, be a vendor, attend the events, visit their website at www.artsplosure.org
